Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers, no sales script
Everything engineers ask us before buying — lead times, validation, cold-chain sealing, changeover and support. If your question isn't here, ask an engineer directly.
How do I request a quotation for a YanMao packaging machine?
Submit the RFQ form with your product type, case size, line speed and annual volume. Our sales engineers respond within one business day with a preliminary specification sheet and budgetary pricing. Firm quotes include FAT conditions and delivery terms.
What is the typical lead time for a case packer or erector?
Standard machines ship in 8 to 12 weeks from order. Custom end-of-line systems typically run 16 to 20 weeks including FAT. We share a production schedule with your project manager and confirm every milestone in writing.
Do YanMao machines comply with CE and safety standards for the EU market?
Yes. All machines can be supplied with CE certification per Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, including the Technical File, Declaration of Conformity and CE-marked guarding. UL/CSA electrical options are available for North America.
What warranty and after-sales support do you provide?
Standard warranty is 12 months from commissioning with 24-month optional extension. Support includes 4-hour remote response, VPN/AR remote diagnostics, a global spare-parts network with 48-hour dispatch, and on-site commissioning engineers.
How fast does a high-speed case erector form RSC cases?
The YM-550 forms up to 25 RSC cases per minute. Throughput depends on board grade, case dimensions and blank quality. We validate your actual blanks during FAT so the promised speed is the real line speed.
Can a robotic case erector handle die-cut and telescopic blanks?
Yes. The YM-560's six-axis robot with compliant vacuum tooling handles die-cut, telescopic and deep-draw styles that would jam a mechanical forming head, and can be re-tasked for palletizing later.
What is the difference between drop-type and robotic case packing?
Drop packing drops rigid containers through a grid — simple, low-cost and fast for jars and cans. Robotic packing picks and places each product, which is gentler for flexible or coated products and needs no lane changeover.
How much corrugate does a wrap-around case packer save?
Wrap-around packing with a single blank typically uses 25 to 30 percent less board than a pre-made RSC of equal strength, while producing a tighter, stronger case for long-distance shipping.
How does a self-adaptive random case sealer adjust case sizes?
Photoelectric sensors measure each incoming case's height and width, and servo drives reposition the sealing heads in about 0.3 seconds. Mixed sizes run down one line with no stops between formats.
When should I choose hot-melt sealing instead of tape?
Hot-melt is preferred for wax-coated or moisture-resistant board, for freezer and cold-storage lines where tape loses adhesion, and for tamper-evident or pilfer-resistant seals that tape cannot match.
What is a bag-in-box or case-lining system?
A case liner places a PE or multilayer film liner inside an erected case, opens the bag mouth for filling, then seals the liner before case sealing. It protects powders, grains and ingredients from moisture, leakage and contamination.
Which products benefit most from automatic case lining?
Bulk powders, grains, seeds, resins, food ingredients and pet-food premixes benefit most. The liner meets food-safety and export requirements and prevents product loss during transit.
How many layer patterns can a robotic palletizer store?
The YM-980 stores 40 or more layer patterns per SKU, and pattern auto-generation software calculates stable layouts from your case and pallet dimensions with center-of-gravity validation.
Can one palletizing system serve multiple production lines?
Yes. Dual-infeed and even three-infeed configurations let one robot or gantry alternate between lines, balancing surge and lowering capital cost versus dedicated palletizers per line.
What happens during a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)?
FAT runs your actual product and blanks on our floor to verify speed, quality and changeover against the specification. You receive a signed FAT report, and deviations are corrected before shipment.
How does remote diagnostics work on my line?
Each machine ships with a secure VPN module (Ewon-compatible). With your permission we connect to the PLC for live diagnostics, recipe backup and firmware updates. AR video guidance is available for mechanical issues.
Can I receive CAD or STEP 3D models before purchasing?
Yes. Request CAD/STEP files from any product page. After a brief qualification form, our engineering team sends native SolidWorks, STEP and 2D layout files so your plant engineers can validate integration.
Do you install and commission equipment internationally?
Yes. Our commissioning engineers travel worldwide and we maintain a partner network of 120+ service engineers across 30 countries. Supervision, full turnkey installation and operator training are all available.
